No Other Name
We call ourselves by all sorts of namesWe call ourselves Christians - which is a nameWe call ourselves after our demoninations - which are other namesWe may say "We follow this man's teachings" - yet another nameWe may say "I belong to this organisation" - holding to a nameWe say "I'm a Christian I go to this church""I'm a Chistian I worship there.""I'm a Pentecostal, Presbetarian or LutheranCatholic, Methodist or non-denominational""I follow this prophet, I follow this pastor,I follow this apostle, I follow this bishop with a megaministry"Why do we hold on to these names?Why do we surname ourselves after another?Why we say "I am so and so the Pentecostal or other"Does not that say 'I have married myself to this organisation''I am married to this church or to this man or his teachings''This is my surname!'Which name gave you your salvationWhich name is our MediatorTo which Name do all the knees bow in heaven and earthThere is no other Name in heaven and in earthHe is our life, He is our joy, He is our substanceI am His - I will hold no other nameNo other name but our Lord Jesus ChristI am betrothed to Him

denomination- definition1398, "a naming," from L. denominationem (nom. denominatio) "a calling by anything other than the proper name, metonymy," from denominare "to name," from de- "completely" + nominare "to name." Monetary sense is 1660; meaning "religious sect" is 1716.
Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
