Life's Purpose !
I may have eaten a meal, groomed the carDusted the shelves, walked the dog, visited a friendBought the groceries, bushed my hair, cleaned my teethWashed my clothes, read the paper, drunk a coffeeBut without Him it is as nothing, I might as well have stayed in bed!
When you say 'what have you achieved today'Well, I may have performed a successful business dealI may have married a beautiful wife, or a handsome husbandI may have earned a degree, a new rank or statusBut without Him it is no different than watching the grass grow, or paint dry
I may have reached for notoriety, wealth or fameI may have preached so well a thousand people were savedI may have given a million dollars, twice over, to the poorOr given my body to be burned as a sacrifice in front of a hundred million viewersBut without Him it has no purpose, it has no meaning
I may prophecy and understand all the mysteriesI may know all the bible, read it in Aramaic, Hebrew and GreekI may be able to move mountains with a wordI may be able to sway mens opinions, put forth conclusive argumentsBut if I do all this without Him, it is presumptuous and pointless
Yet if I live in the Spirit, Commit all my empty nothingness to HimWait on Him and dwell in the secret place of the Most HighI can do all things through Christ who gives me the abilityBy his grace I can leap over a wall, heal the sick, cleanse lepers, raise the deadWhen I live in His will, the will of the GOD who is loveMy thoughts, my actions, my every breath, every atom of my being,HIS will gives my Life purpose
