Christ the Word
In the beginning when the Earth was void and without formGod spoke His word and framed the worldChanging the face of the deepCreating life, plants, animals and manUntil the word said "IT IS FINISHED"And it was, it was good, it was perfectThen he blessed the seventh dayHe rested and enjoyed the work He had completedThe Word proceeded forth from His mouthIt had accomplished His designThe work of Christ, the Word, forming the earth was complete
The disciples cried out, “Do you not care if we perish?”He stood and said 'PEACE BE STILL' and all was calmThe tempest that crashed against the boat threatening their very livesHalted at His wordThe waves that rocked the boat and tossed it to and froSettled at His wordThe ripples that lapped and splashed against the side of the boatCeased at His wordAll was quiet - Silence - not a breath of wind, not a sound or voice. The Word had accomplished that to which it was sentAnd had not returned voidThe work of Christ, the Word, stilling the storm was complete
When Christ was here on Earth He "must be about His Fathers business''He raised the dead, healed the broken heartedLiberated the bruised, recovered the sight to the blindPreached the gospel to the poor, deliverance to the captivesThe acceptable year of the LordHe was the bread of Life, the living waterYet He prayed in anguish "Let this cup pass from Me"He resigned Himself to death, lifted up on a crossWith His last fleeting breath cried 'IT IS FINISHED'And it was, the Word had accomplished that to which it was sentHe was not returning voidThe work of Christ, the Word on Earth, was complete.
When the Holy Spirit fell on the one hundred and twentyAs cloven tongues of fire on each of their headsThe Word had come again to be in his people, as He saidThey preach the Word, granting grace to the hearersThey heal the sick by the Word, lifting up the fallenThey demonstrate faith hope and love through the WordThey go places led by the Word, touching every corner of the globeThey became the Word on earth, His written epistle manifested in fleshThen the Word shall return as a bride adorned for her husbandIt is not returning voidThe Word has accomplished that to which it was sentAnd the two shall become one flesh as it was in the beginning

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.Isa 55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.1Pe 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
