About me
Hi, I am Stephen. I am just an ordinary, walk-past-in-the-street, kind of person. I have a wife, Michelle, and three grown children and I run a small gas appliance repair business with three staff. We live in New Zealand.
I do not label myself as a minister, reverend, pastor, father, prophet or any other thing - my aim in life is to let God use me as He wants to, no matter how insignificant it seems.
I am not linked to any denomination or organisation.
I was brought up in a strict non-denominational church that believed in the gifts of the spirit, but which I now see had many cultish tendencies. There were some good things but also manipulation, bullying and absolute power wielded by the leadership. Even in this God protected me and I learned that God can even use a donkey to give His message. The church finally disintregated with a new leadership and a more traditonal penecostal outlook. But God led me away from this as well.
I then went to a Branham-based church which was a break away from the original church where I was brought up. My father and mother attended here and at first everything was fresh and humble. Then, bit by bit some of the fear-based religion returned, and after my father passed away I found myself gradually nudged until I could no longer stay.
About nine months later I recieved a phone call from a man, who I didn't really know, who hosted a home group. This is where I started writing my "meditations" and sharing them with the group. It was an amazing time. It was here I read some of the books from Lifestream (see link below) which I found extremely encouraging. So when one day the guy who ran the home group decided not to continue it (still don't know why) there was no other option but to let God lead.
